Weinstein Fatigue is taking over Hudson. The highly partisan duo are attempting to begin their political dynasty by having Amanda elected to Hudson Council, where her husband, Senator Casey Weinstein’s career began. But, momentum is not on her side as residents have grown tired of the hypocrisy and lies of both of these politicians. After being caught in yet more hypocrisy, they have resorted to deleting their own comments.
The Weinsteins have been very vocal and involved in nationally divisive political topics. Amanda highlighted her endorsements from left wing organizations like 314 Action, Moms Demand Action, The Matriots, and VoteVets, “the largest progressive Veterans group in America.”

In addition to the left leaning PACs above, Amanda was also endorsed by Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro and Congresswoman Emilia Sykes – both Democrats. She injected national politics and Democratic PACs directly into her campaign and now she’s upset that a national PAC is supporting her opponents. The Weinsteins only believe PACs are permissible if the PACs support them.
It’s important to note when one candidate gets PAC endorsements, that often triggers a rival PAC to get involved. And with the Weinsteins higher political ambitions and hostile rhetoric on national politics rather evident, a PAC was already likely to oppose her.
Americans United for Values recently started dropping mailers that exposed Amanda’s discussion at a Hudson Rotary speech where she advocated for higher energy prices, high density housing, and the abolition of the mortgage tax deduction and higher taxes. This certainly is a message the Weinsteins don’t want getting out there. Video of Amanda’s speech can be watched below.
Senator Casey Weinstein has been running interference for his wife’s campaign. He’s been very active on social media, slamming anyone who challenges his wife. The aggressive retaliation from a sitting State Senator is not sitting well with Hudson voters. Weinstein took to the Hudson Roundtable to complain that a PAC was targeting his wife’s campaign.

Things got sideways for the Weinsteins in the comments. People were pointing out the hypocrisy of not only Amanda accepting PAC endorsements, but Casey Weinstein helped organized and fund Clocktower Collaborative, which the State of Ohio deemed to be an illegal PAC involved in Hudson’s 2023 races. Both Weinsteins were abrasive in the comments to anyone challenging their hypocrisy and double standard. After it was pointed out that the divisiveness in Hudson politics began when Casey was first elected to Hudson Council in 2016, the entire post was deleted. (If readers have screenshots of the comments, please email them to Clocktower44236@gmail.com).
Weinsteins brushed off Casey’s involvement in the illegal PAC, but the check proves otherwise.

In addition the check, Weinstein was also on the organizational emails of Clocktower Collaborative. He also submitted an affidavit regarding his funding of this dark money organization. In the affidavit, he admitted to attending an event for the illegal PAC. These documents are public record.

Casey and Amanda Weinstein have also accused Clocktower Files of being a “dark money blog.” The State Senator is sticking to his brand of lying and distorting truths. One look at this website should make it abundently clear this blog is grassroots based. It is not fancy. It is utilitarian and not easy to navigate. And it began well over a year before Amanda Weinstein announced her campaign for Hudson Council. We are not tech savvy and certainly can’t figure out how to travel back in time to create a blog before Amanda announced her campaign.
Clocktower Files first post was on November 20, 2023. It was a story about Clocktower Collaborative, which was a Hudson dark money group that has since been declared to have operated as an illegal PAC by the State of Ohio. Casey Weinstein was involved in that PAC.
Clocktower Files has reported factual information, much of which is verifiable through public records. It also has grown into a community of Hudson residents of Independents, Republicans, and even a Democrat who are tired of the divisiveness created by gaslighting, lying, and also doxing of people who disagree.
Election Day is Tuesday and it appears Hudson finally has Weinstein Fatigue.
