Nicole Kowalski has been the most divisive member of Hudson Council. She has violated Executive Privilege, been censured, sued the City of Hudson, defamed Hudson citizens who serve on the Charter Review Commission, and wanted to sue a local student for making Hudson solar eclipse t-shirts. Recently, she actually stated that she doesn’t believe her Council colleagues Chris Banweg and Karen Heater have any worth as human beings. Despite Kowalski’s continued divisiveness, Amanda Weinstein and Samantha D’Eramo have given Kowalski center stage in their campaigns.
Kowalski made the comment on the Hudson, Ohio Politics Facebook group. The disgraced Councilwoman, who is ending her final term, has been hyper partisan throughout serving her term and continues to act in that manner. Kowalski made the following comment about her colleagues’ humanity on the Ohio Politics Facebook group page:
Because of the 0 respect I have for Banweg and Heater as both professionals and as human beings, and my difference of opinion with McGinley, I support the three remaining candidates by default.” – Nicole Kowalski
It’s one thing to disagree with someone. It’s something entirely different to challenge their humanity. But, that hasn’t stopped Weinstein and D’Eramo from embracing Kowalski.
Amanda Weinstein’s campaign finance report is littered with Kowalski’s name. Not only was Nicole Kowalski a donor of Weinstein’s, but according to Weinstein’s finance report, the disgraced Councilwoman even fundraised for the campaign.
Samantha D’Eramo’s campaign finance report tells a similar story. She embraces Kowalski and has exemplified Kowalski’s attitude by running a negative campaign. A couple screenshots from D’Eramo’s campaign finance report are below.
It’s pretty clear that Weinstein and D’Eramo would serve on Council similarly to how Nicole Kowalski did. They respect her, have given accolades to her, and have given her a central role in their campaigns. Neither of them have read the room through. Kowalski likely isn’t running because she knew she couldn’t win again after her antics that have cost Hudson residents dearly in tax dollars and divisiveness.
