In life and politics, there are people who deceive. They say one thing while doing another. Casey Weinstein is one of those politicians and now his wife Amanda is seeking to duplicate that same brand of divisive politics in her run for Hudson Council.
Like her husband, Amanda has a long history as a keyboard warrior. While it’s one thing to have opinions, it’s another thing entirely to demean people who think differently. With this post, Amanda tries to redefine herself in hopes that people will forget so many of her comments directed at other people, including her husband’s own constituents.
Demeaning and doxing someone doesn’t just affect the targeted person. The true point of it is to silence people so they don’t speak up. After all, if you challenge someone with an online mob, that mob might be sent after you.
We have gathered a handful of things the Weinsteins have written online that are directly at odds with Amanda’s call for civility. The Weinsteins have a massive digital footprint, so please know these were ones that were quickly gathered to prove the point that “civility” is not the Weinstein brand. There are plenty of tweets and posts defining people by their race, gender, and differing opinions.
Like her husband, Amanda is not shy about confronting people. This is the type of Constituent Services Hudson could expect with her as a member of Council.
Those who frequent the Weinsteins’ posts often see BJ Robb either mentioned or commenting himself. Someone who is not aware of the situation may wonder why Robb is such an avid commenter. He spoke at Board of Education meetings about sexualized material that was available for young Hudson students to check out of the library. A video of Robb reading one of these library books at a Board of Elections meeting went viral. That made him a target of the Weinsteins.
Both Amanda and Casey Weinstein have encouraged the doxing of BJ Robb and his family. Their followers have openly posted the Robb family address, pictures of the family (including children), and even Robb’s employer who was contacted by the online mob. And while the intent was to silence Robb, it has had the opposite effect.
The Weinsteins have repeatedly accused BJ Robb of having many online accounts. Amanda has even recently looked up a commenter’s voter registration. If she cannot find it, she publicly states the commenter is Robb without evidence. While most politicians aren’t sensitive to criticism, the Weinsteins are quick to label, accuse, and use the power of their online followings. Anytime someone is critical of them and they don’t recognize the name, they say it is Robb. Now Robb has to deal with being accosted at the grocery store as you can see below. Imagine being accosted like this by a State Senator and a wannabe Councilwoman.
Amanda’s running mate Samantha D’Eramo has also followed the lead with accusing unknown accounts of being BJ Robb. Their slate brand is “on point” with the Weinstein brand of civility.
