Hudson Councilwoman Samantha D’Eramo has a problem with residents who dare to disagree with recent Council decisions.

D’Eramo has shown flashes of anger and self-control issues in the past. At the most recent Council meeting, she directed her ire at resident Todd Zedak after he spoke during public comments about Council’s decision to remove the censure of Nicole Kowalski.

Kowalski was previously censured for sharing privileged documents — specifically, emailing materials that were not legally permitted to be shared with the public. A resident later forwarded those documents to the City, exposing the violation. Since then, Kowalski has been deeply involved in the campaigns of all six Democrats currently serving on Hudson Council. Despite her legal and character issues — including a judge ruling against her lawsuit challenging the censure — the Summit County Democratic Party recently appointed her to the Stow Clerk of Courts position.

In the video below, Zedak speaks factually and politely against removing the censure and Council’s rushed approval of District 11. Yet that didn’t stop D’Eramo from accusing him of “threatening” Council members — a claim not supported by the video of his comments.

D’Eramo accused Zedak of threatening Council. As you saw, he did not threaten anyone. He spoke facts and pointed out that Council refused to look at the evidence against their friend Kowalski. D’Eramo does not want to hear from constituents concerns that aren’t in lock step with her.

WATCH:

D’Eramo appears unwilling to hear constituents’ legitimate concerns unless they align with her views. It’s hard to imagine how anyone can consider Zedak’s comments as a threat. The community’s issue with District 11 was that it was rushed and sprung on residents. The removal of Kowalski’s censure had the same issue. Patricia Goetz read a motion that had been previously prepared and clearly was discussed with Council majority beforehand with no public input. But, D’Eramo wants only silence or applause.

This is particularly disappointing from someone who prominently featured her role as a Nurse Practitioner at the Cleveland Clinic during her campaign. Her approach to public engagement reveals a troubling bedside manner with the very residents she was elected to serve.

There’s much more to come on Samantha D’Eramo, thanks to tips from readers. If you have information to share, please email Clocktower44236@gmail.com.
