It didn’t take Hudson Councilwoman Nicole Kowalski long to do what she does best, blame others for her own mistake. In less than 24 hours after Clocktower Files published Kowalski’s own emails regarding the Mayor’s t-shirt, she is blaming him for the “drama.”
It all started with Mayor Anzevino’s Facebook post where he was wearing a Hudson, Ohio Eclipse shirt. Kowalski was so bothered that she didn’t get a shirt that she emailed City Manager Thom Sheridan at 1 am to ask why she didn’t get a free shirt. Then she inquired about enforcing the trademark since the City’s logo is similar to the shirt. A Hudson student designed the t-shirt.
Kowalski has gotten feedback regarding this on Twitter. Just as she did in her emails about the shirt when she pivoted to pursue enforcing trademark laws on the Hudson student, Kowalski pivoted again. Now she is blaming Mayor Anzevino for the entire situation.
Mayor Anzevino is beloved throughout Hudson. He prides himself on being an Ambassador for the City and he’s done a great job of it. As divided as Hudson’s political landscape can be, Anzevino ran unopposed last year. Kowalski’s attempt to smear him is likely to backfire. Certainly her hypocrisy for turning a blind eye to her friend Derrick Hall’s political use of City of Hudson graphics is showing.
Much more to come.
